my new roses....
Here are my new roses. They were planted a week and a half ago. I am loving the bright colors in the yard. I also planted perennials and my pots. I will post pictures of all of them. I am loving the color and it is reminding me that Summer is almost here!
those boots....
I can't figure it out. It baffles me. The boy won't keep his own shoes on. Yet, whenever he knows we are going outside, he goes for his sister's snow boots. He must have looked ridiculous on this 80 degree day, outside in snow boots. And purple on top of that!
And, when we are inside, his feet are in Syd's shoes too. The other day he had a tennis shoe on one foot and her white dress shoe on another. His own shoes, FORGET IT! Will he ever keep his own shoes on?
bb: the brother of an older sister....
Here is Sawyer with one of Sydney's baby dolls. I keep thinking of how different his life must be from another little boy who has an older brother instead of a sister. Sawyer's life is filled with Sydney's world. He follows after her, watching her as she cares the many babies and little animals that she "mothers" all day. Or, he is with her when she is at her kitchen cooking. The only "boyish" thing that they do together is play with the train set (other than their adventures outside on the bikes or wagons). Well, of course their is some rough and tumble jumping around. Just some. How different his life must be from a little boy with an older brother who would be teaching him how to do "boy" things. I can tell you, however, he definitely doesn't mind. He ADORES his older sis.

I've got a new attitude....
Here she is. This is where we are at in our lives right now! The picture pretty much says it all, doesn't it? :) It was just after this that her little brother joined her and started to copy her. She then proceeded to give him lessons on how to push his lips out and fold his arms. I must say, it was funny. then. not now. :) now it is normal practice.
