Spencer was dedicated to God at 13 months old. It was an exciting day and one I had anticipated since he was born. It was not the sweet moment that I anticipated. He always wants me to hold him, but he chose this day to be unruly in front of the entire church! He didn't want me holding him and he wanted down to run. I spent the entire time up front wrestling with him and trying to keep him from disturbing the other families. Finally pastor came to us and added humor to the situation. He said he would just dedicate him upside down because he was just sooooooooo wiggly! You can see in the pictures that we had quite a time with him.
The important thing is that we dedicated our third baby to God, even if he had to be upside down!

Halloween night
Sydney was Mulan, Sawyer was a fireman, and Spencer a bat. The kids were super excited and it was super cold! After making the rounds, we admired the gobs of candy, and then went outside for a campfire and hot cocoa. It was a fun night as usual.

a day in the country...
We went to get our family pictures taken and spent a few minutes on the land that Jim farms. We had a great time hanging out with Jenny and the girls. The kids were giddy with excitement! We had such fun riding in the tractor and going for pizza.

first haircut
We went to Carnival Cuts for Spencer's first haircut. I chose this place because it had fun distractions to keep him happy. It worked. You can see his rollercoaster of emotion through it all. He would be fine and happily eating his sucker, then cry, then happy, etc. It was funny! He did great and it turned out so cute!

our pumpkin is one!
I made Spencer's invitation for his very 1st birthday party. I got the idea from a magazine and new right away that I had to use it! I love the way they turned out.
I also new I had to make his own special cake. I also did this for Sydney (a duck) and for Sawyer (a snowman). I just love making the kids their own cake to eat and it just makes it unique and fun. I love to do it!It turned out better than expected and I was so happy!
pumpkin fest
The kids had such fun at the pumpkin fest. They enjoyed all of the fun attractions and the weather was gorgeous!
rock wall
This weekend was the Pumpkin Fest downtown. There is a whole weeeknd of planned activities. The downtown is closed off on Saturday for vendors, inflatables, food and fun. They had a rockwall again this year. Sydney made it to the top last year and wanted to do it again. Sawyer was big enough this year and knew it was time to try. Sydney made it to the top again with no problem. Sawyer got as far as he could (see bottom left) but couldn't get his foot on another peg to enable him to get to the top. He was so close! He got stuck up there because he was too light to propell down! So, he had to be rescued. It was great fun and the kids loved it!
birthday party at the salon
Sydney's friend Abby had a party at the salon. The girls had the chance to get their hair done and their nails done. What fun!
fall means apple orchard...
We've been to the orchard a couple times this year. I love Fall! The cider donuts, cider, the chill in the air, the fall colors, and the pumpkins all make the trip worthwhile. I don't get tired of going there!
The kids have a great time visiting with the animals and playing in the play area.
I love the character of this old orchard. It is small and cabin-like and old.

Mr. Cool
Sawyer loves to play "ball" outside.
If I am not pitching the ball to him, he is pushing it up the slide. ;)
