singing happy birthday and the candles...

Here we are singing to Sydney and trying to light the candles. It was too windy. We had to move up onto the deck and huddle close to get a quick picture.

The cake was chocolate with homemade buttercream icing. I decorated it with maracas on the top. It was fun to make and sooooo delicious! It has been a while since I've made homemade cake (well, with a cake mix). I forgot how good it tastes! :) We also had white cupcakes that have the party colors on the inside which is a good flavor too!
