Spencer, meet your great-grandma DeLoddere.
You are just beginning your life, and she is in her 90th year. Oh the things she could tell you...

For now, I'd like to tell you a little about her.
She is the sweetest and kindest grandma you'll ever meet.
She has been a farmer's wife her entire grown-up life.
She makes the best crusty bread and serves it with yummy cheese and hard salami.
Her parents passed through Ellis Island to get to the United States of America.
She remembers them every year on Memorial Day with flowers at their grave. It is really important to her.
She always has Leman's Mints at her house.
Growing up we loved staying the night at her house. She'd give us hot chocolate before bed.
She has the best house to play in with its dusty attic, upstairs bedrooms, airy porch, cob-webbed filled barns, and farmland.
She cares. She's supportive. She's welcoming.
She's a great cook.
She doesn't give detailed recipes. You know the type..."a little bit of this, a little bit of that."
Nothing tastes as good as when she makes it and serves it in her Rooster themed kitchen.
If she has a couple dollars in her wallet, they will surely end up in the hands of one of her great-grandchildren.
You are her most recent great-grandchild. The 22nd one.
She loves you.
