Our summer AXA trip occured late August. We went straight to Boyne after Mackinac. When we arrived we had to wait forever for our room. It was worth the wait though. Our room was a two story hotel room! It had fancy details, while still keeping the "lodge" feel. Note the curtain detail and the lamps...they were all that fancy. The hotel room was very cozy and we felt "pampered" to stay in hotel that had such detail. It certainly wasn't that typical, sterile hotel room. I loved the pillows on the beds! We stayed there two nights with AXA. It wasn't one of the better trips, but it is always fun to get away. We've heard rumors that next year it is on Mackinac Island! YAY! ;)
