TEXAS 2010

We took off for 10 days to visit my sister and family in Dallas, TX. The kids did great on the airplane, with a few minor exceptions. Spencer had some slight trouble with his ears on the descent. Sydney forgot she was on the airplane, and while she had headphones on and listening to a movie, she yelled "SAWYER!" and probably awoke half of the airplane. It was embarrassing enough for us that we decided to move our seats around and put Sydney with me and Barry with Sawyer. All in all, it was a good flight.

We enjoyed some wonderful time right away with our friends from Houston who were gracious and kind and drove all the way up to see us. TX is a huge state and one must travel hours to get anywhere! We greatly enjoyed seeing them and spending time with them. We of course found a Nestle Toll House. And there was plenty of laughs to go around. Can't wait to see you again!

Then there were the lazy days at the pool. We spent a lot of time there which was mostly relaxing. Sydney and Sawyer loved it and really enjoyed practicing swimming for the first time in their lives. It was great to see how much progress they made in a weeks time. Notice Sydney jumping in without her life jacket in the top left picture. Spencer greatly enjoyed the water as well. He must have loved the taste too, because he kept trying to lap it up like a puppy. EWWW.

We had lots of time for hanging out. You'll have that when you spend ten days somewhere. Among them were campfires, malls, pedicures, and movies.

More TX to come...
